Much of the National Media have had their takes on JuJu Smith-Schuster recently. Seems everyone wants to put their input on JuJu. It seems the biggest topic is in regards to Juju Smith-Schuster's antics off of the field rather than on the football field. You have to give it to JuJu Smith-Schuster whether you hate him or love him he knows how to build his brand off of the football field. He appeals to Tik Tokers, Gamers, and Football Fans.
Zach Gelb from CBS recently took on the JuJu Smith-Schuster topic recently. Gelb says if any jackass today is giving you a take today that JuJu can not work in New York because the Tik Toks will be a distraction.. Gelb says are you kidding me? You couldn't come up with something better than that? He continued to say Tik Toks are never a distraction and if you say they're that is a bunch of hogwash and a bunch of bolognas. No one heard a word about the Tik Toks when the Steelers were 11-0. Well to the defense of one person Mark Madden has always been after JuJu Smith-Schuster since day 1, but I digress.
Gelb feels JuJu dancing and throwing the football on their logo did not give extra motivation to teams. The only actual motivation that JuJu Smith-Schuster provided to another team this year was when he said before a playoff game the Browns are the Browns. Gelb says that was just stupid to do. That also provided the Browns with extra motivation and it's not just a coincidence that after the game that Baker Mayfield brought it up multiple times. The Browns were annoyed by that and Gelb says that was bulletin board material for the Browns.
The notion that JuJu Smith-Schuster is not being signed because of his off-field antics is ridiculous according to Gelb. He did say JuJu is not a WR1 and more of a WR2. He would not give JuJu a big-time deal either, but if the Jets do decide to give him a big contract he won't be a problem in New York because of his Tik Tok.
