Richard Sherman is a great player. The Steelers would be lucky to have him and his experience in Pittsburgh. He seemed to have expressed interest in joining the Steelers. So, it would be cool to see one of the better corners in the league in our uniform even at the age of 33.
However, I am not that convinced of the Steelers shelling out the funds that are necessary to bring him to Pittsburgh. I don't know how much he thinks he's worth, however, in a year where COVID-19 has killed the salary cap, and I don't know who would offer him a crazy contract at 33 years old.
I also have some scheme concerns. He's definitely not as good at man-man and that's what the Steelers would most likely expect out of him.
Still, I would say this is about as likely as the Steelers trading for Julio Jones. I just don't think that the Steelers are in the place to make a move like this to acquire Richard Sherman. It would be a cool pairing. However, still unlikely.
The Steelers have a lot of young talent with the perfect mentor in Joe Haden and I personally like that pairing. I wouldn't be opposed to adding another corner on the team. Just not a 33-year-old player passed his prime.
