Why Najee Harris Was Born To Be A Steeler

Coming off a painfully poor season at running back for the Steelers, it's time to look to the future. With the NFL Draft right around the corner, let's take a look at my favorite running back of this year's draft class, and my perfect match for the Steelers, Najee Harris.

Najee had a stellar year at Alabama last season. Running over defenders, dribbling DBs heads off the ground with stiff arms, and hurdling over defenders all the way to a national championship.

Najee posted an incredible stat line last year of 251 carries for 1,466 and 26 TDs on the ground averaging 5.8 yards per carry. Oh and guess how many fumbles? ZERO. Najee is an absolute beast on the ground, think a mini Derrick Henry. Not only that, but he's a sneaky good receiving back for his size. Posting 43 receptions for 425 yards and 4 TDs, quite impressive.

Most importantly, just turn on this guy's film. He runs THROUGH people, not around them. He's an animal, pure and simple. Couple together that gritty run style and a true 3 down back skill set with his sneaky reception work that allows him to stay on the field that Mike Tomlin loves, he was born to be a Steeler.

Harris will likely be a first-round pick, so if the Steelers want Najee Harris in the Burg' they're gonna have to pay up, and in my opinion they should. The kid bleeds black and gold, and I hope to see him suit up for the men of steel sometime this fall.
