This is a tale between two former Steelers, one got a ring, and one didn’t. Both should have gotten multiple rings with the Steelers. However, there was always something holding us back from that goal.
Bell, who signed with the Chiefs hoping to get his first Super Bowl ring really didn’t get much action. He has Clyde Edwards-Helaire to thank for that. The Rookie was very good for them this year. Le’Veon Bell had no carries in the Super Bowl. I find that surprising, it seems as if he has fallen off a cliff.
Could Bell retire? Is his best days behind him? I’m not sure about retirement. I could see him going to one more team to see if he still has it. Possibly back to Pittsburgh? He could opt to come back to Pittsburgh on a minimum deal to see if he still has it. If not, there is no predicting to where he would go to. I don’t see the Chiefs as a suitor though. His best days are definitely behind him.
Antonio Brown who now has a ring is a favorable position. I see him returning to the Bucs on a team-friendly deal to win another ring with his buddy Brady. He’s getting older but getting another ring could help his legacy that was once in a pretty bad position during his exit from the league.
The two Steelers will be looking to end their careers on a high note. So, we’ll see how that goes for them. I personally wish them the best and hope they find peace and happiness in retirement in the future.
