What is Melvin Ingram's Market Value?

Melvin Ingram has interests from multiple teams. Most notably from the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs. There are also other teams that could be interested in signing Melvin.

What is the holdup? Shouldn't a player like him be signed by now? Yes, however, with COVID-19 putting a wrench in the salary cap and causing it to go down, I'm sure Melvin is waiting patiently to sign.

Another factor here is age. He just now turned 32 and is entering the twilight of his NFL career. Spotrac has him signing a 3-year $34,264,488 contract. Okay, so that's not going to happen at his current age. However, he could still be looking at an $8,000,000+ contract with his next team on a 1-year deal.

I just don't see him signing longer than that and I would say at this current stage in Free-Agency, that's clearly going to be his market value. The longer he waits, I just feel like his value will simply go down.

Ingram would fit well with Pittsburgh, with the departure of Bud Dupree, he would fill in nicely next to TJ Watt and provide excellent depth. I would also feel confident with having Alex Highsmith behind him continuing to improve.
