Watch: Arthur Moats breaks down the impact of Tyson Alualu in the Steelers defense

Tyson Alualu officially signed a two-year deal with the Steelers yesterday to stay in Pittsburgh. This comes on the heels of Alualu initially agreeing to terms with the Jaguars on March 16, but Alualu had a change of heart and it was announced last Saturday that he was re-signing with the Steelers.

The Steelers have already lost four starters on defense from last year in Bud Dupree, Mike Hilton, Vince Williams and Steven Nelson through free agency or release, so Alualu staying in Pittsburgh instead of leaving for Jacksonville was huge.

Former Steelers outside linebacker Arthur Moats broke down the impact of Alualu in the Steelers defense earlier today. Alualu had his best year with the Steelers last season at the age of 33 when he started at nose tackle, recording 38 total tackles, 17 of them being solos, two sacks, four tackles for losses, five quarterback hits, five passes defended and one forced fumble.

In the video below, Moats showcases Alualu's superb run defense against the Titans in Week 7 of the 2020 season. Alualu looked like Casey Hampton in his prime on this play.
