Vince Williams came off the Covid-19 list and played 100 percent of snaps against the Colts

Vince Williams was placed on the Covid-19 list two weeks ago for testing positive for Covid. He shared his experience with Covid saying his lungs felt like he smoked 8 packs of cigarettes on Twitter. Unfortunately, when Vince was placed on the Covid-19 list it left an even bigger hole in the middle of the defense because Robert Spillane was placed on IR around the same time Vince was placed on the Covid list. The Steelers ended up losing both games Vince Williams was out as well.

On Wednesday, Dec. 23, Christmas came early for the Steelers because Vince Williams was activated off of the Covid-19 list. He was eligible to play against the Colts that following Sunday. Vince Williams currently has 46 solo tackles, 22 assists, and 3 sacks for the 2020 season with the Steelers. So getting him back was a big deal for the defense. Vince Williams ended up having 5 tackles against the Colts with no sacks, but he played 100 percent of the snaps against the Colts. Imagine sitting at home for 2 weeks not being allowed to play football and the moment you come back you're asked to play 100 percent of the snaps for the Pittsburgh Steelers? Just another day for Vince Williams who loves the game of football. Even TJ Watt said no one loves the game of football more than Ben Roethlisberger and Vince Williams. It showed on Sunday against the Colts because the Steelers finally managed to get a win and Vince Williams contributed to that win after coming off of no football for 2 weeks.
