TJ Watt wins the AFC Defensive Player of the Month

TJ Watt has had a strong month with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are 3-0 right now and that is thanks to his contributions on the field. Watt currently has three and half sacks, 10 quarterback hits, nine tackles, three tackles for a loss, two pass defenses, and one interception in just three games! During the Texans game, TJ Watt contributed with four tackles, four quarterback hits, two tackles for a loss, and a sack on Deshaun Watson. Eat your heart out JJ Watt!

Mike Tomlin has had high praise for TJ Watt saying he had an awesome year last season and has the intention of being continually better.

"I think he's still writing that story," said Coach Mike Tomlin. "He was pretty awesome a year ago to be quite honest with you. I know he has an intention of being continually better, so he's still writing that story. His talents are just a part of the equation. His hyper-focus, his attention to detail, his awareness I think all add up to big playmaking ability and splash plays for us."

Last season TJ Watt was named the Defensive Player of the Month in November and named the Defensive Player of the Week twice in 2018. He was robbed of Defensive Player of the Year last season by the NFL, but if he continues to perform the way he has been this season he is definitely a lock for the Defensive Player of the Year Award or else we riot.
