I wanted to compile a short list of things to be hopeful about for the future. I hope these come true. This list will contain three surefire things we get to look forward to in 2021. It’s going to be another turbulent season. However, the Steelers could very well surprise us.
1. Devin Bush will be back. This is big. I know he had some fill-ins that were quite helpful, however, Devin Bush is Devin Bush. He has been quite an asset for the Steelers, and I hope we get to see him continue to improve, even after a serious injury. The good news for us is that he looks to have made a full recovery and I can’t wait to see how he is by camp.
2. Ben Roethlisberger will take a pay cut. Ben Roethlisberger’s cap figure is still going to be quite large, but if he can take a little less money, we might be in better shape for bringing back a few key Free-Agents that might make us better in the long run. Such as, JuJu or Bud. It would be nice, however, either or both could be very unlikely.
3. It’s a clean slate. It’s nice that the Steelers will start out 0-0, with the slate wiped clean. It’s truly a beautiful thing. However, I just hope the Steelers can stay consistent all year, not come out 11-0 and go 1-5 at the end of the season. I just want them to make a run. Have Ben Roethlisberger go out with a Super Bowl victory. So, I just hope the Steelers know what they are doing.
