The Steelers had their 88th Birthday Yesterday

Time flies when you're winning championships. The Steelers turned 88 years old yesterday, they were first instated in the 1933 season, and from that point on, a city of champions was founded.

However, they weren't always the Steelers, they were actually known as the Pittsburgh Pirates until 1940. Which, honestly kinda blows my mind. However, the spirit of Pittsburgh lived on within them even then.

The Steelers are arguably one of the greatest franchises in the NFL and they have had plenty of history-making moments and they have continued to show why they are the greatest of all time. They also have 6 Super Bowl Championships:1974 (IX), 1975 (X), 1978 (XIII), 1979 (XIV), 2005 (XL), 2008 (XLIII).

Now, the Steelers have 30 members (players and staff) in the Hall of Fame. They won't be the last, there are several Steelers who have been on the team over recent years who could end up in the Hall of Fame and enshrined in eternal NFL football glory.

Happy Birthday to the Steelers! Here's to bringing a 7th Super Bowl Trophy to Pittsburgh. It's about time we get that and who better to bring it home than Ben Roethlisberger.
