The Steelers have officially tied the NFL Sack record against the Washington Football Team. One of the only bright spots during Monday's game. The Steelers have 69 games with at least one sack, tying the Bucs who set the NFL record over a five-season span (1999-2003). If the Steelers record a sack next week against the Bills, they will set a new NFL record at 70 consecutive games with a sack. That is an incredible stat because Pittsburgh is known for their hard-nosed defense. The Steelers streak started against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8 in 2016. From 2016-2020 the Steelers have not had one game without a sack. TJ Watt currently leads the team with 46.5 sacks during that time span. Bud Dupree has 35.5, Cam Heyward has 32. It is great to set records like this, but the Steelers are just looking for wins this season. Still, you can't take away how special this Steelers defense is.
