Stephen A. Smith says 'HELL NO' to Mason Rudolph being the Starter in Pittsburgh

The topic of Mason Rudolph becoming the starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers has come up quite a bit in recent weeks. It was unclear what Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers were going to do after being eliminated by the Browns in the Wild-Card. To be fair Rudolph had a decent outing against the Cleveland Browns during their Week 17 game. His pocket awareness is absolutely atrocious though. Great deep ball and he does follow the game plan in Pittsburgh, but he looks like a statue in the pocket.

Stephen A. recently said the reason why Ben Roethlisberger's return is pivotal to the Steelers in 2021 is that the Steelers cannot lean on Mason Rudolph. He said he doesn't want to hear Mason Rudolph is the new quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He just doesn't want to hear it. Smith says he has seen enough in Rudolph and does not believe in him at all. The only thing that he believes in Mason Rudolph is being a backup quarterback.

Two simple words Stephen A. Smith said about Mason Rudolph being the starter of the Pittsburgh Steelers: "HELLLLLL NOOOOOO." The last thing he said about Rudolph is he doesn't trust him whatsoever on the football field. That is why there is an urgency to bring Ben Roethlisberger back to Pittsburgh on a renegotiated deal.
