The NFL released a statement this morning in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in the Titans organization stating the following: The Steelers-Titans game, originally scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, will be rescheduled to allow additional time for further daily COVID-19 testing and to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel. Details on the new game date and time on either Monday or Tuesday will be announced as soon as possible.
It was announced yesterday that the Titans had three new players and five new personnel employees test positive for COVID-19. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported today that there was another positive test for the Titans, bringing their total to four players who tested positive. The Titans' facility is currently closed until further notice and their game against the Steelers will now be played either Monday or Tuesday, rather than Sunday at 1 p.m. It's the first COVID-19 schedule alteration of the year in the NFL.
