The Eagles are very thin at Linebacker. These players as described by, Pat Ralph of The Philly Voice that these guys are basically “practice squad linebackers.” These guys have confidence but, he expects the Steelers Tight-Ends to have a field day.
Coming off his first Steelers Touchdown Eric Ebron has to be feeling quite good about his new connection with his QB Ben Roethlisberger. As for Vance McDonald who has put on 10 extra pounds this offseason, it should be business as usual for him. He will most likely block. However, his catching ability is not to be slept on.
I expect these guys to be given some looks quite early on in order to open up the rest of the field. The Steelers seem to be more successful when we see Big Ben target these guys multiple times a game and I hope we see that against this 1-2-1 Eagles team who is also surprisingly, but also not so surprisingly at the top of their division.
The Eagles are coming off a tough match against the 49ers and now they hop onto a bus to come to Heinz Field and face the well-rested Pittsburgh Steelers who would like to keep their undefeated stretch going.
