The Steelers announced today that they've re-signed punter Jordan Berry to a one-year deal. Berry was cut before the start of the season last year and the Steelers signed veteran Dustin Colquitt, but his tenure would end up only lasting only five games due to poor performances. The Steelers brought Berry back and he was the punter for the final 11 games of the regular season and the playoffs.
In 11 regular-season games in 2020, Berry had 57 punts for 2,609 yards, an average of 45.8 yards and a net average of 40.5 yards. Berry had 23 punts inside the 20-yard line and three touchbacks. Berry's 45.8 yards per punt average last season was a career-high.
Berry was originally signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft out of Eastern Kentucky.
