Steelers Player of the Game

The Steelers-Giants game was full of some rust, but someone didn’t miss a beat and that’s Bud Dupree. He was freak of nature coming off the edge truly making Giants second year quarterback Daniel Jones feel his presence throughout the game. Dupree had many golden moments throughout the game but the one that sticks out to me is the pressure that forces the bad throw that led to a Cam Heyward interception.

In addition to that, Bud had numerous tackle-for-losses against Saquon Barkley and that Steelers defense held the offense to 17 points on the day. Bud Dupree is slated to be a free agent next year after signing his Franchise Tag this year. If he keeps balling out, he can expect a HUGE payday. The man is turning into a game wrecker. Every play he is all over the quarterback/running back. Right now, he has a nose for the ball.

An honorable mention is JuJu Smith-Schuster after catching 2 touchdowns and having 69 receiving yards. He also recovered a drop ball by Benny Snell which kept that Steelers drive alive. JuJu I’m sure is very happy to have his QB back after last year. He already seems like he’s enjoying football again.

It was very challenging to pick the players of the game, lots of plays showed out. However, these guys really stuck out. Although, Steelers didn’t have many sacks, they still had tons of pressure and really made the evening tough on the New York Football Giants. Here’s to an enjoyable 2020 season.
