The Steelers need to adapt. It’s time to get some fresh perspective on the offense. Much like Matt Canada’s impact on the offense, the Steelers need to look at some fresh perspectives for the future of this Steelers offense.
I think Matt Canada counts as an outside hire. Just because he was only with us for a season. However, it would be cooler to look even further and to possibly get Brian Schottenheimer. This is a coach that Russell Wilson grew quite accustomed to. He was upset when he was fired.
We need a coach that can scheme a proper offense for Big Ben and the Steelers. I think Big Ben will be back, so we need the best coach that can help him in his potential final season. This would ring true if we ended up drafting a QB early in the draft as well. We need a good offensive mind to sculpt that young prospect.
It would be a shame to still have Randy Fictner and waste a young Quarterbacks potential. It’s a real shame. This offense was atrocious this year. The offense for once, was the piece that let the team down and ended the Steelers Super Bowl hopes. All the slow starts and all the mistakes finally caught up to Ben Roethlisberger and his Pittsburgh Steelers.
