David DeCastro had quite the year in Pittsburgh. He is on the final year of his contract earning just short of $9,000,000. Let us be real, that money is well deserved. However, we need to make sure he is all in for next season. If we lose Pouncey, we need him to step up into a leadership role and continue to be the anchor on this offensive line.
However, this season he was not fully healthy. He missed numerous games and when he came back his play was not always the best. The offensive line last season was horrible. Honestly, they really held back the team. What really sums it up is the high snap in the Playoff game against Cleveland Browns. From that point on, we just had a feeling that the game was for sure a loss.
David DeCastro should be back. If he is healthy, he is going to be one of the best guards in the league. Expect another Pro-Bowl season out of him for sure. Bank on it! He is fantastic, his stats do the talking. I just hope this season he is all in and comes into the season in the best shape of his life. This offense will look different once again this season and I hope we see some changes on our Offensive Line. This season it just did not work, they took a massive step back. Take a step forward with bring DeCastro, Dotson and hopefully #72 will report as eligible once again. Burn the rest.
