The Steelers are back to being thin at Corner. After Joe Haden, Cam Sutton, and Justin Layne. There really isn't much left on the roster. The Steelers had a messy breakup with Steven Nelson and Mike Hilton left in Free Agency.
The Steelers need some help. Who will it be from? Some newer guys on our roster that we're undrafted Free Agents? Or should the Steelers go look for another aging proven vet in Richard Sherman?
I think the Steelers need to look in the mirror and see who they really are on the back ends of their defense. They have very talented safeties in Fitzpatrick and Edmunds. However, at cornerback, there is a drop-off in talent/experience after Cam Sutton and Joe Haden.
It would serve the Steelers well to get another veteran corner who has experience just to have that type of voice in the locker room. There are numerous players available. Here are a few that would make this team better:
Richard Sherman
Brian Poole
Nickell Robey Coleman
There are a few other guys out there. However, the time is running out. The Steelers have some options out there. The Steeles need to go all-in this season. So if that means spending a few extra bucks, I think they should do it. Next season, the Steelers will have plenty of cap space to make up for it.
