With the salary cap being at a low number, we have seen a ton of talented players being cut. Many of those cuts have been fairly talented players. That includes guys like Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz. These guys were on the Chiefs Super Bowl Team and now they are Free- Agents.
They were both injured during this most recent Super Bowl. However, still both guys are talented and the Steelers might end up giving them a call to check on their asking price in order to protect Big Ben in the 2021 season. However, both of them still might have too high of a price range for the Steelers.
There are plenty of other options with the Giants releasing Kevin Zeitler. This move saves the Giants around $10 Million in cap space. This week has been what we expected, we have seen a lot of veterans being cut.
Luckily, the Steelers have remained relatively unscathed. For now. If the Steelers are able to free up any cap space, I would hope the Steelers would try to get a few of these top tier Free Agents on a budget 1-year deal. However, we will see what happens.
