With the Miami Dolphins losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 33-27 today, the Steelers have clinched an AFC playoff berth for the first time since 2017.
The Steelers have earned 31 playoff berths since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger and it's the ninth playoff berth under Mike Tomlin.
The Steelers, along with the Chiefs have clinched a playoff spot in the AFC. In the NFC, only the New Orleans Saints have clinched a playoff spot.
If the Steelers beat the Buffalo Bills tonight coupled with a Cleveland Browns loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, the Steelers will clinch the AFC North.
