The Steelers released their injury report for Monday night's game against the Browns this afternoon, and inside linebacker Buddy Johnson (foot) is the only Steeler who has been ruled out. Center Kendrick Green (calf) and punter Pressley Harvin III (personal/illness) are listed as questionable.
Green suffered a calf injury in the fourth quarter against the Chiefs and did not return. If Green can't go, J.C. Hassenauer will start at center. Corliss Waitman will be the punter if Harvin is inactive.
The Steelers activated defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs from the reserve/COVID-19 list today. Buggs was placed on the list on Dec. 23. The team also placed inside linebacker Joe Schobert and defensive lineman Chris Wormley on the COVID list yesterday. Devin Bush is still on the COVID list, so the Steelers could be thin at the position on Monday night. There's a chance that Bush could be activated tomorrow, however. If not, Robert Spillane and Marcus Allen will be the starting inside linebackers.
With the Steelers thin at the inside linebacker position, the Steelers signed Tegray Scales off the Bengals' practice squad today. Scales spent time on the Steelers' practice squad and active roster in 2019 and 2020, playing in four games last season.
The Steelers placed cornerback Arthur Maulet on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday. Like Bush, Offensive tackle Zach Banner is still on the COVID list. Bush and Banner were placed on the list on Dec. 23.
Rookie tight end Pat Freiermuth will be good to go for Monday night after missing last weeks game due to a concussion. Freiermuth was a full participant at practice this week.
For the Browns, they've ruled out cornerback Troy Hill (knee), strong safety Ronnie Harrison Jr. (ankle) and free safety John Johnson III (hamstring). Running back Kareem Hunt (ankle) and defensive tackle Malik Jackson (knee) is listed as questionable.
