Everyone that missed Wednesday's practice minus David DeCastro (knee) and Stefen Wisniewski (pectoral) were back at practice today. With DeCastro and Wisniewski missing their second consecutive practice this week it appears that they'll be ruled out or doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos. With James Conner (ankle) being a full participant at practice today he should be active against Denver.
Back at practice on Thursday were receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Diontae Johnson (toe), running back James Conner (ankle), nose tackle Stephon Tuitt (Achilles) and tackle Alejandro Villanueva (illness). Ben Roethlisberger and Maurkice Pouncey were also back at practice today after being held out yesterday due to a coach's decision.
With both DeCastro and Wisniewski's status for Sunday not looking good, rookie Kevin Dotson is expected to start at right guard.
"He's a young guy who hasn't had a lot of work throughout this process because of injury and lack of availability," Mike Tomlin said of Dotson. "There is some angst there, so if he is called upon this week, it is going to take a tremendous effort by him and by us. And by us, I mean us putting him in the very best position to perform, so there is some dual responsibility there."
