Steelers-Bills injury report

Updated: Dec 10, 2020

The Steelers had their first practice of the week at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side in preparation for their game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.

Cornerback Joe Haden (concussion) and inside linebacker Robert Spillane (knee) both did not practice today after suffering injuries in the game against the Washington Football Team on Monday. Tomlin said at his press conference yesterday that Haden is in the concussion protocol and Spillane's knee was being evaluated and he wasn't sure about his status for this week. Kicker Chris Boswell and defensive lineman Chris Wormley (illness) also didn't practice on Wednesday. Boswell (hip) did not play against Washington.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, guard David DeCastro, tackle Alejandro Villanueva, all had a veteran's day off today.

Earlier today, the Steelers activated running back James Conner from the reserve/COVID-19 list and signed defensive end Cassius Marsh from the Indianapolis Colts practice squad. Also, inside linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III, who is still on the Reserve/Injured list, returned to practice. The team has 21 days to decide if they will activate him and if not, he won't be able to be activated this season.
