The Steelers had their first practice of the week today at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side in preparation for their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Mike Hilton (shoulder) and Derek Watt (hamstring) were both full participants after they missed Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Hilton has missed the last two games and Watt has been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that has sidelined him four of the last five games.
Tyson Alualu suffered a knee injury in the first quarter against the Ravens and was also out against the Cowboys. Alualu was a limited participant at practice today. Cameron Heyward is hoping to have Alualu back for Sunday's game.
"To have Tyson back, he provides that leadership," Heyward said. "But he has to take care of his body. I don't think we can throw anybody out there just to throw anybody out there. We want Tyson 100 percent when he comes back."
Isaiah Buggs (ankle) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) did not practice today.
Several players sat out today with a veteran's day off. Those players were Maurkice Pouncey, Alejandro Villanueva, David DeCastro, Stephon Tuitt and Eric Ebron.
