The Steelers were recently present at Texas A&M's Pro Day and they got a look into numerous prospects. The one prospect I want to talk about though is Kellen Mond. He might be an interesting prospect for the Steelers to look into.
Here were his stats at A&M according to ESPN.
9661 Passing Yards
71 Touchdowns
27 Interceptions
59% Completion Percentage
He's definitely had a solid collegiate career, and I think that he could be a potential diamond in the rough in terms of value if somehow a team gets him in the second or third round.
If the Steelers can get him in a favorable spot, I say go for it. However, I don't think there will be a favorable spot for him because of how many teams that could be interested in him in the second or third. So, If I were the Steelers I would steer clear of Mond and keep going in the direction of win now and get Ben Roethlisberger some help.
However, if he somehow slides into the fourth round? I'd say give him a hard look because at that pick he would definitely be worth it. Well, it's that time of year again where we all make predictions that could most definitely be wrong in April.
