Pro Football Focus takes a shot at Ben Roethlisberger's arm strength

Pro Football Focus has been down on the Steelers all offseason, especially when it comes to Ben Roethlisberger, as they believe he's washed up and the Steelers shouldn't have brought him back for another year.

Earlier today, the PFF Twitter account took a shot at Roethlisberger by posting a video of him throwing short passes to first-round pick Najee Harris and captioned the tweet, "Big Ben practicing his deep ball."

Of course, it was just a joke by PFF, but former Steelers guard Ramon Foster didn't find it funny.

I mean…this is why players always come at y’all neck," Foster tweeted. "I get the joke but y’all ain’t in the joking business. Y’all are in stats and facts. You made a public joke about a guy you grade weekly and your subscribers take your grades serious most times. Carry on though."

Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review also pointed out that only three quarterbacks had more attempts of 20-plus yards down the field in 2020 than Roethlisberger, data which ironically comes from PFF.

It's also interesting that PFF didn't post about this deep pass that Roethlisberger completed to Harris at yesterday's OTAs practice. That wouldn't fit their narrative, however.
