Pro Football Focus actually gave the Steelers credit for having the best DL duo in the NFL. It is shocking to see because they normally hate on the organization for some reason all of the time. I don't know if it is for clicks or PFF just genuinely is not a fan of the Steelers, but they finally have come around.
There is no denying the Steeler's defense is one of the top defenses in the NFL. Even Pro Football Focus will have to recognize their dominance on the defensive side of the ball because they have so many talented players on the defensive side of the ball. That is why I think they recently threw the Steelers a bone by ranking TJ Watt and Cam Heyward as the NFL's best defensive line duo in the NFL.
PFF ranked TJ Watt as the second-best defensive lineman in the NFL and also named Cam Heyward as the third-best defensive lineman. That would make them the best defensive linemen duo in the NFL. They still did not give TJ Watt the respect he deserves as being the top defensive lineman in the NFL, but I will take their rankings with Heyward and Watt.
Watt will look to join forces with Highsmith heading into the 2021 season. Highsmith is looking great throughout his offseason training and I feel in time they both will become a top duo in the NFL if Highsmith can stay healthy. Heyward is finally getting the respect he deserves as I feel Cam is one of the most underrated Steelers in franchise history.
Much of the National Media love to look over him in regards to being a top defensive player, but finally, he is starting to get the recognition he deserves. Hopefully, PFF can get off their high horse and start ranking the Steelers where they deserve to be ranked in the near future. This is a good first step in their denial.
