With it being the slow portion of the NFL offseason in late May, Pro Football Focus has been ranking the 32 best players at each respective position and their most recent rankings had Devin Bush ranked 17th among linebackers in the league.
Bush was impressive during his rookie season in 2019 and was performing well last year up until he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 6 against the Browns.
"We have yet to see everything Devin Bush is capable of at the NFL level," Sam Monson of PFF wrote. "His rookie season for the Steelers was solid but not spectacular, and then injury robbed us of seeing his sophomore improvement after just a few games. Bush has flashed impact playmaking ability, but he needs to show clear improvement in consistency in Year 3."
Bush said in February during a Steelers Nation Unite conference call that his recovery is going well and that he's on track to be ready for training camp in late July.
“Rehab is going good,” Bush said. “I’m on schedule. I’m feeling stronger week by week. I’m just trying to get ready physically for next year, especially for camp. I’m just staying positive about things and doing everything I can do possible to make myself one of the best players next year.”
Steelers cornerback Justin Layne posted a video on Instagram of himself and Bush at the facility today, and Bush appeared to be in great shape.
