In 2019 TJ Watt was the season leader among all edge rushers. The trend is continuing during the 2020 NFL Season. Pro Football Focus has TJ Watt ranked the highest among all NFL edge rushers by grading him with a 92.2. The next two closest players are Khalil Mack (91.6) and Myles Garrett (90.0). That is pretty special to be higher than Khalil Mack because he is a machine on the football field.
TJ Watt has had a special couple of months both on and off of the Football field. He was picked to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated for the month of October. This magazine was distributed throughout all stores nationally. He did a show on Fox called Ultimate Tag with both of his brothers. On the football field, he currently has 4.5 sacks through 5 weeks of football. He has 13 solo tackles and 1 interception to go with his 4.5 sacks as well. Unfortunately, he did not record a sack against the Browns but was flying around the field with Bud Dupree making tackles. Still, Pro Football Focus feels TJ Watt is the best edge rusher in the NFL right now by giving him the highest score. The next two weeks will be huge games for the Pittsburgh Steelers and gives TJ Watt even more of an opportunity to establish his resume in regard to statistics. Let's also hope to see the Steelers go undefeated during these two games coming up against the Titans and Ravens. Overall TJ Watt is on pace to match his 2019 season and be considered for the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year Award.
