The Pittsburgh Steelers will be ramping up their virtual meetings for the 2021 NFL Draft. The combine has also changed its format and will be done in combination with Pro Days. The NFL just recently released their schedule to Pro Days as well.
According to Justin Melo from the NFL Draft Network, the Steelers recently had a virtual meeting with WR Anthony Schwartz. The Patriots, Seahawks, Jets, Chargers, Colts, Saints, and Titans also had virtual meetings with Schwartz too. This kid knows how to take the top off of the defense. Schwartz was a former track star and can play both inside and outside as a wide receiver. He has exceptional athleticism who uses his quickness, body control, and balance to make his opponents pay when they're on the field with him.
Anthony also loves to play in the slot. This could be beneficial from the Steeler's standpoint because JuJu Smith-Schuster could be heading to another team in free agency this year. Schwartz's speed has been compared to Tyreek Hill's and Henry Rugg's on the football field!
In 2019 Anthony didn't have a big season as he hauled in 41 receptions for 440 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed 11 times for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns as well. His overall average was 10.7 yards per touch. In 2020 he had 54 receptions, 636 yards, and 3 touchdowns. So it looks like he is progressing each season he plays football.
Bruce Feldman named Anthony Schwartz "the fastest man in college" on his "College Football Freak List." Schwartz claims he ran a 4.27 during his 40-yard dash and loves to be a vertical threat downfield. Many draft analysts say Anthony will be drafted higher than his production shows because of his exceptional speed on the football field. Pro Football Network has him going in the Top-75 of the 2021 NFL Draft.
