The Pittsburgh Steelers 2021 rookies took the field for the first time yesterday. They're just starting their Rookie Mini-Camp set for this whole weekend. Of course, it is being headlined by Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth, but there is some really good talent out there like Kendrick Green, Tre Norwood, Shakur Brown, and others. We finally got a glimpse of Najee Harris in the Black and Gold taking good cuts with the Steelers coaching staff on the field. He looks like he is in great shape and is ready to dominate the NFL.
Pat Freiermuth observed Najee Harris practicing yesterday and he said he was very impressed. He called Harris a 'heckuva running back.' Through walkthrough Freiermuth says he made good cuts, is smart with the football, and is a really good guy. Not only is Freiermuth happy the Steelers landed Najee Harris he is also very happy to land with the Pittsburgh Steelers himself. He seems to really love the atmosphere in Pittsburgh.
He finally got to see how 'complex the offense' is going to be heading into 2021 with new offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Not only did he call the offense complex, but he also said it is 'simple in a way' too. He feels the offense is set up to finally utilize all of the talent that they have on the football field.
Freiermuth says he feels awesome and has a better grasp of what Matt Canada is looking for on the offensive side of the ball. Both Najee and Freiermuth will now be connected as the top 2 picks on the Pittsburgh Steelers heading into the 2021 season. If both stay healthy on the football field they both are going to be special for the organization.
