Outlook on Ben Roethlisberger in 2021

I’m not sure what to think about next year after the end of the season. However, with Randy Fictner leaving, maybe Ben Roethlisberger is able to make the jump and go next level like other Quarterbacks who are his age and who are making the same amount of money as him.

Let’s be frank, Ben Roethlisberger is massively overpaid. So, we will need to see a significant jump in his performance in order for him to truly be a next level player. Hopefully, we see numbers exceeding this season. This season, Ben Roethlisberger threw for 33 Touchdowns and 10 Interceptions. That’s very good for him. Very low interception number was nice to see.

However, we need to see more out of him. He also needs a good Offensive Line to help him stand up in the pocket and take some shots. It’s very challenging as a Quarterback if you can’t have time to look downfield and go through his progressions. It would also be nice if Ben Roethlisberger had himself a running back similar to Le’Veon Bell. I miss just having that security blanket of someone to just have in case of a dire situation.

I’m not really confident in this team moving forward, I think there needs to be a serious rebuild in order for us to compete again. This year was definitely our chance. I seriously hope I’m wrong. However, something tells me that there might be some dark days ahead for Steeler Nation. However, with this team we will always have hope!

Ben Roethlisberger needs to take control of this team and keep himself healthy. He needs to get the fountain of youth so he can move around in the pocket. Getting some play action going would be very beneficial. It would add another dynamic to this offense to keep defenses on their toes.
