The NFL announced on Thursday that the league's full 2022 schedule will be released on Thursday, May 12, at 8 p.m. ET.
There will be several games announced ahead of the official schedule release.
The Thursday Night Football game to air on Amazon in Week 2 will be announced during the first round of the draft. The International games will be announced on May 4 and “select games” will be revealed in the days prior to May 12. All teams will be releasing their first home game two hours ahead of the full release.
The Steelers play the AFC East and NFC South in 2022. The AFC and NFC division opponents rotate every year. The Steelers will play five playoff teams from this season in 2022.
The Steelers had the toughest schedule in the league in 2021 and managed to make the playoffs as a wildcard at 9-7-1.
Looking at the schedule on paper, minus the AFC North games, the two home games that stick out are against the Tom Brady-led Buccaneers and the Patriots. The furthest that the Steelers will travel in 2022 is to Miami.
Below is a full list of the Steelers 2022 opponents.
