Najee Harris says the Interviews with the Pittsburgh Steelers were the best he's had
The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for a premier running back in the 2021 NFL draft. After the Steelers finished dead last in 2020 in regards to the running game Art Rooney II says he doesn't ever want to see them finish last ever again. Insert a premier running back like Najee Harris and the Steelers will instantly get their running game back. Harris is that big of a game-changer and the physical running back the Steelers need.
Najee recently sat down with the Adam Schefter Podcast recently and was asked who was the best interview during his pre-draft meeting so far. Harris pointed out that the interviews with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the draft process were the best he has had. He says the Steelers had their entire management and technical committee during the meetings. Included in those meetings were Kevin Colbert, Mike Tomlin, and members of the Steelers defense.
Najee Harris on playing for the Steelers: "It is not my decision. As I said, I am just waiting for who will choose me. I do not make decisions. The only things I control today are how I train and how I play. Probably you Schefter must know more than me."
Even Adam Schefter said during his podcast he could bet seeing Najee Harris as a Pittsburgh Steeler in the near future. Harris has met with the Pittsburgh Steelers in person and through a zoom call so far.
Harris called Mike Tomlin really cool and said Tomlin even asked him some questions, but he was not specific on what Tomlin asked him. Hearing these details now makes me think the Steelers are very serious about possibly drafting Najee Harris if he falls to them in the first or second round. I believe he won't be there by the second round so if Najee Harris is sitting there with their No. 24 pick they better take him.
