Najee Harris practices so much Running Back's Coach Eddie Faulkner told him he had to go home

It sounds like the Pittsburgh Steelers' first-round draft pick has been putting in a ton of work recently with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is not surprising because Harris has always been a workhorse during his high school and college years. While Harris was growing up in Antioch he would walk through a rough neighborhood just to get extra work at his high school at night. His mom would always worry about Harris walking through the rough neighborhood, but it seems Harris always focused on the game of football, and that allowed him to stay out of trouble like many of the people in his neighborhood got into.

Ben Roethlisberger spoke to the media today and had a lot to say. One of the topics was in regards to Najee Harris who is becoming his new best friend in Pittsburgh. Harris will be welcomed with open arms by Ben Roethlisberger because through several seasons the Steelers running game has been awful. In 2020 the Steelers running backs only averaged 3.6 yards per carry and finished almost dead last. Art Rooney II saw enough and decided it was time to bring in an elite running back during the 2021 NFL draft.

Today Ben complimented Najee Harris by saying he is a really hard worker on the football field. He even said Eddie Faulkner apparently told Najee Harris he had to go home because Harris puts in so many hours at the Steelers facility. That is pretty funny to hear, but it is exactly what fans and coaches want to see after the Steelers picked him in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. If Harris can stay healthy on the football field he should become one of the most dominant running backs in the NFL as time goes by.
