The Steelers are committed to giving Ben Roethlisberger a running game heading into the 2021 season. Roethlisberger should be a happy quarterback today knowing he shouldn't have to throw the football 50 times a game. The Steelers should look to beef up their offensive line today and later on in the 2021 NFL draft so look for the Steelers to get Ben Roethlisberger even more help.
After the Steelers took Najee Harris in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft he sat down with the media and expressed how grateful he is to become a Pittsburgh Steeler. Not only is he grateful, but he is ready to get it going with Ben Roethlisberger right away. Harris says he doesn't feel any pressure at all heading into the starting role in Pittsburgh. He is going to embrace the challenge and has already been in a ton of situations at Alabama. Najee did admit the NFL is a different breed, but he feels it's nothing he can't overcome in due time.
Najee Harris on getting started with Ben Roethlisberger: “Oh, man, that’s dope as hell,” Harris said. “People didn’t realize it, but I only followed two teams and that was the Steelers and the Niners and that’s because I actually liked those teams. But actually seeing Big Ben, all the Super Bowls he came into, and actually seeing him perform at a high level and stuff like that, and actually being to line up with him, on the side of him and learn from him, I mean, that’s an honor right there.”
Harris is saying all of the right things especially in regards to what Ben Roethlisberger will want to hear. I guarantee Roethlisberger will become Najee's best friend very quickly in Pittsburgh. Harris feels the Pittsburgh Steelers have always evolved in the running game and he always thought it was a perfect fit to be in Pittsburgh. The City of Pittsburgh is going to love Najee Harris and so will Ben Roethlisberger.
