There have been many comparisons with Troy Polamalu throughout football overtime. One comparison has been between Polamalu and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Can you imagine if you saw both of them on the same team together in the backfield? It would be impossible to throw the football in the NFL when you played the Pittsburgh Steelers. For now, Minkah is taking away a portion of the field as he was only targeted only 18 times and allowed 7 receptions in the 2020 season.
Fitzpatrick took on many questions tonight on Twitter. Yinz asked Minkah who his favorite Steeler of All-Time was? His answer was Troy Polamalu. Minkah loved to watch Troy play football, but who didn't? There will never be another Polamalu on the football field and I think it would be fair to stop comparing Minkah to Polamalu. Let Minkah become his own Steeler, but it was still awesome to see Minkah show the respect he did to Troy.
