With the second practice of rookie minicamp concluded, Mike Tomlin spoke with the media afterward and revealed that first-round pick running back Najee Harris is "as highly conditioned as anyone out there, and that's a good place to begin."
Tomlin also added that Harris can "articulate the game very well, so there's a lot to be excited about."
What Tomlin said about Harris really wasn't earth-shattering, as it's no secret that Harris is a specimen when it comes to his physique. Just look at the two photos of Harris at yesterday's rookie minicamp practice. He's absolutely shredded.
At 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Harris has a unique size for the running back position and he's a three-down back as well, who can run and catch the ball, along with pass protecting. It's only rookie minicamp, but just seeing Harris in a helmet, jersey and shorts, makes it even more intriguing to see him when he's in full uniform at training camp.
