The duo of Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert were at another pro day today, as they were in South Bend, Ind. to see Notre Dame prospects perform. According to Nick Farabaugh of Steelers Now, the Steelers have met with Notre Dame offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg and Robert Hainsey, along with linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah prior to their pro day.
Per Farabaugh, Eichenberg said that the Steelers are a "great team and great organization" and it would be a "great opportunity" to play with them.
Eichenberg was first-team All-ACC in 2020 and is projected to be a plug-and-play starting left tackle in the NFL. Eichenberg should be drafted early in the second round.
Hainsey was a team captain at Notre Dame and was All-ACC second team in 2020. Many see Hainsey capable of playing either tackle or guard at the next level. He's projected to be a mid-to-late round draft pick.
Owusu-Koramoah is one of the best inside linebackers in this year's draft class and should be selected in the first round. As a senior in 2020, he won the Butkus Award as the nation's top linebacker, in addition to being named ACC Defensive Player of the Year and a unanimous All-American.
Owusu-Koramoah was a two-year starter at Notre Dame and had 142 total tackles, 96 of them being solos, seven sacks, 24.5 tackles for losses, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, one interception and seven passes defended.
Tomlin and Colbert have attended the Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Alabama, Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame pro day so far.
