Many Steelers have been Nominated for the Class of 2021.




The Pittsburgh Steelers organization is known for having many Pro Football Hall of Famers. In 2021, there are many Steelers who have been nominated to become a part of the 2021 Class. Alan Faneca was a finalist for the past five seasons, the same as it has been for Hines Ward. Heath Miller, Joey Porter, Casey Hampton and Gary Anderson are all first-time nominees for 2021. Bill Nunn has been selected as a Contributor Finalist for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.


There were many players around the NFL who were nominated. 130 players to be exact. They will be trimmed down from 130 to 25 semifinalists in November. Finally, in January they will be trimmed down to 15 finalists. The Saturday before the Super Bowl the Pro Football Hall of Fame Committee will sit down and 5 finalists which will be announced during the ‘NFL Honors’ show.


Steelers currently have three members in the Class of 2020 who have yet to be fully inducted into the Hall of Fame because of COVID-19. Troy Polamalu, Bill Cowher and Donnie Shell will now be inducted in 2021.


The 2021 Hall of Fame is August 5-8 in Canton, Ohio. The Steelers are set to play the Cowboys during that Weekend on Thursday August 5th. The Class of 2020 will be enshrined on August 7th and the Class of 2021 will be inducted on August 8th.
