There's been a lot of buzz surrounding Malik Willis being the Steelers' next quarterback lately. Mike Tomlin, Kevin Colbert and Matt Canada reportedly met with Willis and his family at the Senior Bowl, and according to Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network, everyone thinks Willis is going to Pittsburgh. Pro Football Focus Bet has Willis at +3000 to be the next quarterback of the Steelers.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com has the Steelers trading up from No. 20 to No. 17 with the Chargers to select Willis in his mock draft 1.0.

"Willis might not have played for a traditional college football power, but he is hard to bring down, can extend plays and has the arm to attack all areas of the field. The Steelers move up for their next starting QB," Zierlein wrote.

According to Thor Nystrom of NBC Sports Edge, the Steelers clearly prefer Willis over Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Nystrom also said that the Steelers' interest in Willis is for real, and compared it to how last year Najee Harris was the “worst kept secret” in regards to the Steelers eyeing up the star running back.

Mike Tomlin mentioned frequently this past season that quarterback mobility is a must-have in today's league. That's why Willis is so intriguing. Willis is the type of quarterback that Tomlin is looking for. Quarterback mobility is where the league is trending. Just watch Willis' mobility in the Senior Bowl.
