Kevin Colbert not only is an outstanding General Manager, but he was also on the board of trustees at Robert Morris University. The reason for this is known, he seems to be upset at the Pennsylvania University for cutting its hockey programs. It's both their Women's and Men's Hockey teams.
There has been rallying around the RMU community to try and save their hockey programs and hopefully, this happens. However, after Colbert resigning from his post, you wonder if there is much of a chance to salvage this.
Kevin Colbert actually attended Robert Morris University, so it was probably hard to decide to leave the board of trustees. However, maybe his departure from the board will sway the rest of the board to perhaps save the hockey programs.
I know it was a tough year, however, this doesn't mean it's time to cut bait with all these programs that give so much to your communities. Please sign this petition if you are interested in saving its hockey program.
As of 6/1 they currently have over 16,000 signatures and it will be interesting to see how all this plays out in the coming weeks.
