JuJu Smith-Schuster says Najee Harris will change the Pittsburgh Steeler's offense 'tremendously'

Going into the 2021 NFL draft everyone thought the Pittsburgh Steelers would draft Najee Harris if he fell to them. Those assumptions were right. It was like the Steelers couldn't keep a secret with their love for Najee Harris. That is how much Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert loved him. It is very unusual to hear the Steeler's draft plans going into the draft, but it seems like they were positive Najee Harris would be there for them and they were right.

The last time the Steelers have drafted a running back in the first round was Rashard Mendenhall in 2008 so what we witnessed on the first night of the 2021 NFL draft is rare coming from the Steelers. During the offseason, JuJu sat down with Michael Irvin to do his podcast and expressed his love for Najee Harris. Smith-Schuster called Najee Harris the best running backs out there that would fit with our team (Steelers). He continued to say if the Steelers were to draft Harris it would be cool.

JuJu Smith-Schuster also recently sat down with CBS Sports for a Q&A and he was asked how big of a difference will Najee Harris be with the Steelers offense? He says Najee is going to change the Pittsburgh Steelers offense tremendously.

Although the Steelers did lose his good friend James Conner over the offseason JuJu says Coach Tomlin did personally call him to tell him that the Steelers drafted Najee Harris. JuJu replied by saying "Finally, you drafted an offensive player in the first round." He is very happy the Steelers took Najee Harris because the defense already has eight to ten first rounds. He says it will be great when Najee Harris takes the field in 2021 with him.
