JuJu Smith-Schuster says he would love to stay in Pittsburgh

JuJu Smith-Schuster has been adamant about staying with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has seen what has happened to prior players who left the Steelers franchise for more money. JuJu feels he has established his brand really well in the Pittsburgh market and likes the grass that he is currently on with the Steelers organization.

JuJu on the Steelers: “The grass is very green. I’ve already established my brand, myself in this organization. Just because they’re offering more money, the grass is not always greener on the other side. I kind of like where I’m at with the grass I’m on."

The Steelers organization is one of the best organizations in all of football, but the problem this year is their cap situation. They need to be able to retain Mike Hilton, Cam Sutton, and either Bud Dupree or JuJu Smith-Schuster. There is no way the Steelers can keep all of them. Hilton and Sutton would equal Dupree and the Steelers could get more for their buck by keeping both of them. JuJu would get paid, but I don't think it would be anywhere near what the New York Jets could off JuJu.

JuJu and his mother Sammy recently both went on the Yinzhers Podcast to talk about his future: "I do want to play for a team that competes for the Super Bowl every year," Smith-Schuster said. "That's in the playoffs. Obviously, the Steelers are that. I do want to play for a great quarterback, not knowing what Ben's going to do. I do want to be paid a reasonable price for what I'm worth. In all consideration, I would love to stay with the Steelers. I would love to stay with them, but as of right now, we're just kind of up in the air, waiting."
