JuJu Smith-Schuster is back with the Steelers. Against all odds, the Steelers made it happen and I couldn't be happier. In celebration of this, I would like to write a couple of predictions down for the 2021 Steelers and JuJu Smith-Schuster. I want to focus on his statistics for this particular article.
JuJu reaches 1,000 yards receiving once again.
JuJu hasn't reached that number since his season with Antonio Brown. However, this season I just have a good feeling with a new offensive coordinator that we might reach that number once again. It would greatly benefit JuJu to reach that for sure. He's most likely looking for Kenny Golladay's money and getting that milestone will greatly help that.
JuJu has 90+ Receptions in 2021
I think Ben Roethlisberger will target JuJu early and often and he will reach above 90 receptions in 2021. This one could also not happen just because of all of the weapons the Steelers will have on that offense. Especially if the Steelers get a running back and a resurgence comes to the run game.
JuJu has under 8 Touchdowns
That is nothing against him, it's mainly just a prediction because of all the weapons that the Steelers have on the offense. Still, I think he will be thought of as a WR1 on this team full of capable wide receivers.
Conclusion
I think JuJu did a lot for the team in the 2020 season. However, I still don't think he was used to his full potential. I am hoping Matt Canada and the Steelers are able to find a way to improve his output.
