JJ Watt is expected to be moved this offseason, where could he land?

There will be many players on the move this offseason. One domino fell this weekend with Matthew Stafford being traded to the Los Angeles Rams. Two other players who everyone is watching are Deshaun Watson and JJ Watt. The question is where will they land? We have speculated the Dolphins, Steelers, and Jets would be ideal landing spots for Deshaun Watson, but where could JJ Watt go?

It would be no surprise if JJ landed with the Green Bay Packers. He would head back home and fit in with a team that fell one game short of getting into the Super Bowl in 2020. It would be very fitting for JJ to bring a Super Bowl to his hometown of Wisconsin. Za’Darius Smith is currently the only option for the Packers rushing game. So JJ Watt would be welcomed with open arms in Green Bay.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heading to the Super Bowl on February 7th. Their team is loaded with weapons both on offense and defense. JJ Watt would be just another weapon added to their team. Ndamukong Suh is playing on a one-year contract this season. The problem is will Tom Brady retired if he wins the Super Bowl again? The Buccaneers are looking to turn into a non-contender down the road when Brady retires. Does JJ Watt want to end his career with a team that could end up rebuilding? Probably not.

Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys could be a fit for JJ Watt as well. The biggest Dark Horse is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many question why the Steelers would bring JJ Watt into Pittsburgh? Simple answer every single time... Both of his brothers are playing in Pittsburgh. JJ Watt has always wanted to play football with all of his brothers and this is a perfect opportunity to do so. The Steelers and Watt would have to renegotiate a deal to make it happen but never say never because anything can happen in the National Football League. Just imagine adding JJ Watt to a defensive line with Cam Heyward and Stephon Tuitt? That would be a scary line. If JJ Watt would like to come to Pittsburgh I would welcome it with open arms. That would be fun to watch JJ Watt, Derek Watt, and TJ Watt on the same team all season long.
