Training camps around the league are opening up soon and it appears that former Steelers cornerback Steven Nelson is close to signing with a team.

Nelson was released by the Steelers as a cap casualty in March and he told SiriusXM NFL Radio in April that he had about 10-15 teams that have reached out to him with serious interest.

Four months later, Nelson has still not landed with a team yet, but he tweeted this morning, "Today or tomorrow stay tuned."

One team that has been mentioned a lot in regards to being a possible designation for Nelson is the Eagles, as they desperately need a No. 2 cornerback. The Bills, Jets and Bengals are three other teams that have been mentioned as well. Can you imagine if Nelson joined Mike Hilton in Cincinnati?

Nelson signed with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent in March of 2019 from the Chiefs and signed a three-year, $25.5 million contract. In his two seasons with the Steelers, he had 109 tackles, 17 passes defended, three interceptions, two tackles for a loss and two fumble recoveries.
