The market has been extremely slow in regards to the wide receiver position during the 2021 NFL offseason. One wide receiver I did not expect to still be on the market right now is JuJu Smith-Schuster, but he still is. The Jets have been having constant talks with JuJu Smith-Schuster through the last couple of days. If they do sign JuJu then they would cut Jamison Crowder without having to give him a dime. So if the Jets feel JuJu is better than Crowder they could potentially upgrade their slot position by signing him.
Dulac recently answered some questions by Steeler fans in his new Steelers Chat Transcript on Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Billy asked Dulac since JuJu can't get #1 wr money and the market has spoken that he's a #2 any chance he comes back on a cheap 1 year prove it contract with heavy incentives? Dulac says to give it more time in regards to JuJu Smith-Schuster. The market is just starting and it's a little slow. Doesn't mean he won't get a big offer. Dulac says one thing is for certain, JuJu does not need a "prove-it" contract as you suggest. He has already proven it.
