For the sixth consecutive year, former standout Pitt running back and the father of Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, Craig "Ironhead" Heyward was named to the 2022 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.
Heyward finished his career at Pitt rushing for 3,086 yards and had a remarkable season in 1987, as he led the nation in rushing with 1,791 yards and was a consensus All-American, along with finishing in the top 5 in Heisman Trophy voting.
